OTTAWA, Ontario (July 19, 2026) – The Down East Bird Dawgs rallied to tie the game in the sixth inning, but the Ottawa Titans answered with eight unanswered runs over the final three frames to pull away for a 14-4 victory at Ottawa Stadium Sunday afternoon, handing Down East the series loss and sending the Bird Dawgs to Trois-Rivières at 27-33.

Christian Adams gave Down East an early 1-0 lead on an RBI groundout before Michael Fuhrman's three-run homer in the third, and a Myles Smith RBI triple in the fourth put Ottawa ahead 4-1.

The Bird Dawgs chipped away in the fifth as Ali LaPread singled in a run and Jacob Corson added a sacrifice fly to cut it to 4-3 before Harrison tied it in the sixth with an RBI single to knot it at 4-4.

Ottawa responded immediately as Smith singled in a run and Caleb Burr added a run on a fielder's choice to go back up 6-4 before the Titans poured on eight more runs the rest of the way to close out the 14-4 final.

Wes Albert allowed three runs on seven hits over three innings with two strikeouts and three walks. Jacob King (0-1) took the loss, allowing two runs on two hits over one inning with one walk.

Eric Pardinho started for Ottawa, allowing three runs on eight hits over 4⅔ innings with three strikeouts and three walks. Liu Fuenmayor (2-0) earned the win with 1⅓ scoreless innings.

The Bird Dawgs (27-33) head to Trois-Rivières to take on the Aigles Tuesday, July 21, at 7:05 p.m. ET.
