Thursday’s Game Suspended in Third Inning, to Resume Saturday at 5:00 p.m.
TROY, N.Y. (August 27, 2026) – Thursday night's game between the Bird Dawgs and the Tri-City ValleyCats has been suspended with Down East leading 10-3 heading into the bottom of the third inning.
The Bird Dawgs tallied two in the first when Jacob Corson doubled in a run and Colby Backus hit an RBI single before Dylan Broderick hit a two-run homer in the bottom half for Tri-City to tie it at 2-2.
Down East added four in the second as Stephen DiTomaso singled in a run and Lyle Miller-Green launched a three-run homer before JanCarlos Colon drove in a run on a groundout to make it 6-3.
The Bird Dawgs exploded for four more in the third when Trey Law and Backus each drove in a run on base hits and Kalae Harrison added a two-run double to take a 10-3 lead before the tarp crew was called out.
The game will resume Saturday, August 29, at 5 p.m. ET at Joseph L. Bruno Stadium. The regularly scheduled Game Five of the six-game series will follow approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of the resumed game and will be played as a seven-inning contest.
The Bird Dawgs continue the series Friday, August 28, at 6:30 p.m. ET.
