Blaum appeared in 57 games for the Bird Dawgs in 2025, serving as the club’s primary catcher.
He played five seasons of collegiate baseball at UVA Wise, where he compiled a .330 career batting average while driving in 95 runs. In his final season in 2021, he was named to the NCAA Division II Rawlings Gold Glove Team.
Following his collegiate career, Blaum began his professional career in 2021 with the Birmingham-Bloomfield Beavers of the United Shore Professional Baseball League before finishing the season with the Joliet Slammers. In 2022, he appeared in 82 games with the Charleston Dirty Birds.
Blaum split time in 2023 between the Quebec Capitales and High Point Rockers, winning a Frontier League championship with Quebec. He returned to the Capitales in 2024 and captured a second consecutive championship, appearing in 41 games.
