Laboy appeared in 25 games for the Bird Dawgs in 2025, slashing .286/.348/.524 while launching four home runs.

He was selected in the seventh round of the 2022 MLB Draft by the Oakland Athletics out of the Carlos Beltrán Baseball Academy. Laboy spent parts of three seasons in the Athletics organization, including time in the Arizona Complex League and with the Stockton Ports. In 2023, he played 19 games in the ACL and 48 with Stockton, and in 2024, he appeared in 34 games in the ACL while hitting .255, along with 21 games for Stockton.

Laboy has also played three seasons in the Puerto Rican Winter League with Leones de Ponce, gaining additional professional experience during the offseason.
