Garcia, a catcher from Colombia, spent parts of six seasons in the Cincinnati Reds organization, advancing as high as Single-A with the Daytona Tortugas.

During the 2025 offseason, Garcia played in the California Winter League, appearing in 16 games while batting .267 and driving in 14 runs.
