Andueza began the 2025 season in the Bird Dawgs bullpen before transitioning into the starting rotation midway through the year. He finished the season with 20 appearances, including nine starts, while posting a 6.04 ERA.

Originally signed by the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2016 as a catcher, Andueza built a strong offensive track record in the organization, hitting .288 over his minor league career and advancing to High-A Hillsboro. He transitioned to the mound in 2022 and remained in the Diamondbacks system through 2023. That season, he appeared in 32 games with Single-A Visalia, posting a 5.51 ERA as he continued his development as a pitcher.
