Jackson Hicks

Hicks began the 2025 season with the Washington Wild Things, where he made 18 appearances before joining the Bird Dawgs. He finished the year in Down East, appearing in 15 games while posting a 4.57 ERA and tying for the team lead with four saves, including a save in the regular season finale against his former club.

Hicks graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he played club baseball. Following graduation, he signed with the Westside Woolly Mammoths of the United Shore Professional Baseball League, making seven starts and posting a 2.16 ERA. His performance earned him a minor league contract with the Minnesota Twins.

Hicks spent parts of three seasons in the Twins organization. In 2022, he made 36 appearances with the Fort Myers Mighty Mussels, posting a 2.98 ERA. He returned to Fort Myers in 2023, again making 36 appearances while recording a 3.22 ERA with 65 strikeouts and 19 walks. That season, he was named the Mighty Mussels’ recipient of the Harmon Killebrew Award, which honors a minor league player from each Twins affiliate for outstanding community service.

He missed the entire 2024 season after undergoing UCL repair.
